Fall

BRIAN MAHIEU
poetry of place ~

Brian Mahieu's fall palette is rich and resonant. The painting - Frenetic Sunset - probably best conveys Brian's aesthetic goals.  It was created in one sitting one October evening in a remote field near the Missouri River, looking north at sunset. The muscular paint quality of the gestural brush work and the expressive color is applied with an almost jazz-like abandon.
