This is a favorite motif of mine, looking north toward Baby Island. Often the wind is out of the north making for somewhat challenging painting conditions, and that energy is reflected in the muscular paint quality and rapid execution of this pochade. I love the coral pink color of the red alder catkins at the base of the bluff.
