“I’m excited to share the first larger oil painting from my hike to Lake Quinault in February. It was a delight to discover the last snowfall of the year as Lars and I hiked high meadows on the North Shore. On this day the sunlight and shadows on the snow were scintillating. This painting was created using brushes, palette knives and by removing paint with a technique called sgraffito. The paint surface is a landscape of its own.”
